This role is essential for designing, implementing, and deploying scalable software solutions within the ServiceNow CMDB ecosystem that support high availability environments and ensure accurate, trusted configuration data across T-Mobile. The position focuses on developing and enhancing CMDB modules, data governance rules, reconciliation logic, data models, and service mapping structures using modern engineering approaches and integration technologies. It requires collaborating with engineering and business teams to resolve complex data quality issues, define authoritative data sources, and drive improvements to CMDB architecture and data lifecycle processes. The engineer applies independent judgment to recommend enhancements to CMDB design, mapping logic, integration methods, and data strategies that support operational and business requirements. Success is measured by the ability to deliver high-quality CMDB solutions that improve data integrity, strengthen service visibility, and support the organizations operational efficiency and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance ServiceNow CMDB capabilitiesincluding data model extensions, identification & reconciliation rules, CI class structures, normalization rules, relationships, and data ingestion mappingsto ensure accurate and reliable configuration data. Conduct unit, integration, and data validation testing to maintain high-quality CMDB outcomes and prevent data drift.
• Develop improved CMDB designs, governance frameworks, and service mapping methodologies that optimize data quality, reduce duplication, and enhance dependency modeling. Apply industry practices such as CSDM alignment, authoritative source modeling, and standardized relationship mapping to strengthen the CMDBs role as a trusted data foundation.
• Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, SRE, ITAM, and operational groups to understand data requirements, establish authoritative sources, and ensure proper onboarding of CIs and services into the CMDB. Mentor others in CMDB data governance, CI modeling, service mapping alignment, and configuration data lifecycle best practices.
• Evaluate ServiceNow CMDB enhancements, data quality tools, mapping frameworks, and integration technologies to support long-term configuration management strategy. Recommend solutions that improve data trustworthiness, reduce manual data maintenance, and increase accuracy in service dependency modeling.
• Produce detailed documentation covering CMDB data models, governance rules, mapping logic, CI lifecycle definitions, integration specifications, and service modeling guidelines to support long-term sustainability and team knowledge.
• Support additional CMDB and CSDM improvement initiatives, environment cleanups, data migrations, and cross-functional configuration management efforts as required.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering (Required)
• 4-7 years - Technical engineering experience.
