To strengthen our development team in Pune we are looking for a Diagnostic Engineer for Embedded System. You will be involved in Diagnostic testing, User acceptance test software development, integration of code into microcontrollers, read and create a diagnostic troubleshooting concept.
You will work in a team of approximately 6 engineers in an agile environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Analysis system documents (requirements, architecture, functional specifications, …)
- Good Knowledge of communication protocol – CAN, LIN, Ethernet, XCP.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostic standards and protocols (e.g. UDS, ODX, OTX, ...)
- Knowledge on CDD/ODX development and verification.
- Experience in scripting language CAPL, Python.
- Knowledge on Standards ASAM MCD, ISO 14229-1, ISO 22901-1, ISO 22901-2.
- Prepare overall bench setup with purpose diagnostics, such as flashing, fault-code analysis and troubleshooting within several ECUs.
- Design, Test, and match diagnostic routines in target system
- Create diagnostic experience, understand the system, and find diagnostic solutions.
- Being able to implement diagnostic test scripts.
- Execution and evaluation of results from test environments
- Create defect reports and support tracking of progress
- Ensure required coverage of requirements and architectural elements
- Further development and conception of tools for the creation of guided troubleshooting based on OTX
- Experience regarding diagnostics in embedded systems in the automotive, railroad or aerospace sector
- Checking of system against test and analysis results for plausibility
Qualification & Skills
- BE/ B Tech, Background in software engineering, electrical engineering, or electronics with 5+ yrs experience in Embedded Testing
- ISTQB Foundation Level (or comparable; can be acquired during training phase)
- Familiar with Vector Informatik tool suite, e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, VT-Systems, CANoeDIVA, CANdelaStudio, VTESTStudio.
- Good knowledge of SIL and HIL test strategies
- Good knowledge of test documentation (test plan, test report,)
- Previous experience with lifecycle tools, like PTC Integrity, JIRA, Tortoise SVN,
- Familiar with the entire test process and methodology for embedded devices and systems
- Know how on requirements engineering, software development, test automation and continuous integration and testing.
