Your Team:

The team manages the Payments application, focusing on deployment maturity, CI/CD automation, and testing uplift. We enable secure, reliable, and scalable releases while driving best practices across applications.

Your role in the Team's Success:

The role will drive the uplift of the Payments by implementing automated regression, acceptance, and security testing within the CI/CD pipeline. It will enable the shift from fragile gray deployments to reliable, rollback-ready releases. The engineer will build the system, enforce coverage, and integrate security checks. This reduces downtime risks, accelerates delivery, and ensures compliance. The role also strengthens team maturity by spreading knowledge and best practices, creating lasting impact across the organization.

What you'll need for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and maintaining backend systems using Java, Spring, and SpringBoot, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

• Implement Microservices-based solutions, integrating with various systems and services.

• Utilize JMS, AMQ, and Kafka for message queuing and streaming, ensuring reliable and efficient data exchange.

• Work with Oracle and No Sql databases, designing schemas, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity

• Develop and consume RESTful web services, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.

• Apply knowledge of AWS, containerization technologies and Nomad for deployment and management.

• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally.

• Own and address complex changes, remove impediments, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Work in an Agile environment, applying methodologies such as pair programming, Test-driven development (TDD), and behaviour-driven development (BDD).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Proven experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ (AMQ), and JMS for asynchronous and event-driven communication.
• Solid experience working with Oracle and NoSQL databases, PostGRES.
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or Nomad) for deployment and orchestration.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, including TDD, BDD, and pair programming.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.
