About this role:

Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer, Advanced to join our Cloud and DevOps team. This role involves collaborating with architects, software engineers, and operations teams to support the design, deployment, management, and operation of our development, test, and production infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS), Kubernetes orchestration, and Python scripting to drive automation and innovation. You will play a critical role in enhancing our DevOps processes by incorporating AI-driven automation to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines
 

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and other public cloud platforms.

• Architect, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and manage application deployments.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Jenkins.

• Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance within the DevOps lifecycle.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources to meet service level objectives.

• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

• Participate in capacity planning, load testing, and incident response, including 24x7 on-call rotations.

• Research and evaluate new cloud technologies and DevOps tools to continuously improve the infrastructure and automation capabilities.

• Assist in managing Kubernetes clusters and improving application deployment processes.

• Work with engineering teams to support the DevOps execution strategy for different projects.

What you will need:

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or DevOps roles with a strong focus on AWS and public cloud services.

• Proven expertise in Kubernetes cluster management and container orchestration.

• Advanced proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tooling development.

• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, networking, and security principles in cloud environments.

• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log management tools.

• Knowledge of integrating AI/ML solutions into DevOps processes is highly desirable.

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) and Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) are a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
