Sr. BMC ITSM CMDB Consultant

This role will involve approximately 6070% hands-on development work and 3040% administration & support, including system health, upgrades/patches, integrations, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for designing scalable solutions, developing workflows, enhancing CMDB and Asset Management modules, integrating BMC Helix with external systems, and optimizing the overall BMC Helix ITSM ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain solutions within BMC Helix ITSM, AR System, and Innovation Suite.

Develop workflows and service catalog items using Digital Workplace Advanced (DWP-A) and Workflow Designer.

Build and enhance CMDB and Asset Management modules ensuring alignment with ITIL practices.

Create dashboards and reporting using BMC Helix Dashboards.

Write and execute complex SQL queries per business requirements.

Perform CMDB audits, reconciliation, and data quality checks.

Integrate multiple data sources into the CMDB and ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, middleware, and web services.

Perform system administration tasks: user management, access controls, health checks, availability monitoring.

Execute upgrades, patches, and provide platform troubleshooting.

Provide technical leadership on BMC Helix development and administration best practices.

Document technical solutions, configurations, and processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.

Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix ITSM and AR System development.

Strong knowledge of Digital Workplace Advanced (DWP-A) and Workflow Designer.

Proficient in Helix Innovation Studio / Innovation Suite.

Strong experience with CMDB & Asset Management modules.

Expertise with BMC Helix Dashboards.

Strong SQL scripting and query development skills.

Experience integrating systems using REST API, SOAP, or middleware.

Strong understanding of ITSM processes and ITIL frameworks (ITIL V3/V4 preferred).

Good scripting and troubleshooting skills.
