Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Lead with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IBM Mainframe Utilities GitHub Copilot CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and COBOL. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can drive technical excellence and innovation in our projects. The position operates during the day shift and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and maintenance of mainframe applications using IBM Mainframe Utilities ensuring high performance and reliability.Oversee the integration of GitHub Copilot into the development workflow to enhance code quality and developer productivity.Provide technical guidance on CICS transaction processing to ensure seamless and efficient operations.Manage VSAM datasets to optimize data storage and retrieval processes.Develop and maintain JCL scripts to automate batch processing and job scheduling.Utilize DB2 for database management ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.Write and maintain COBOL programs to support business-critical applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.Mentor junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all technical activities.
Qualifications
Possess a deep understanding of IBM Mainframe Utilities and their application in enterprise environments.Demonstrate proficiency in using GitHub Copilot to streamline the development process.Have extensive experience with CICS for transaction processing and management.Show expertise in managing VSAM datasets for efficient data handling.Be skilled in writing and optimizing JCL scripts for batch processing.Have a strong background in DB2 database management and optimization.Be proficient in COBOL programming for developing and maintaining business applications.Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.Stay abreast of industry trends and continuously seek opportunities for innovation.Ensure all technical activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
