Sr. Analyst, Business Systems Enterprise Products (L08)

About the Role:

The Senior Analyst, Data owns the front end of the data delivery lifecyclepartnering closely with business stakeholders and Data Engineers to ensure data initiatives are clearly defined, properly prioritized, validated, and successfully released into production.

This role is responsible for leading requirements discovery, clarifying business intent and value, identifying dependencies and risks, and translating business needs into well-defined data requirements that engineers can execute against. The Senior Analyst supports Data Engineers throughout day-to-day delivery by removing ambiguity, resolving blockers, coordinating testing and validation, and owning business readiness through production release.

Success in this role is measured by the clarity of requirements, alignment across teams, quality of delivered data products, and smooth, predictable releases that meet business expectations.

What Youll Do:

Requirements, Intake & Business Alignment:

• Lead structured intake and discovery sessions with business partners to understand objectives, use cases, and success criteria
• Inspect and interrogate requests to uncover underlying business needs, assumptions, and constraints
• Identify dependencies, overlaps, risks, and timing considerations across initiatives
• Clearly articulate business value, priority, and intended outcomes for data initiatives
• Translate business needs into well-defined data requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery scope

Engineering Partnership & Delivery Support:

• Partner closely with Data Engineers to support day-to-day delivery activities
• Provide ongoing clarification of requirements, logic, and priorities during development
• Help engineers resolve ambiguities, unblock issues, and navigate changing business needs
• Coordinate across teams to ensure alignment between ingestion, transformation, and downstream consumption.

Prioritization & Roadblock Removal:

• Support backlog prioritization based on business value, dependencies, and delivery readiness
• Proactively identify risks, gaps, and blockers that could impact delivery timelines or quality
• Work with engineering, analytics, and business partners to resolve issues and adjust scope as needed.

Testing, Validation & Release Ownership:

• Coordinate and support testing efforts, including UAT and business validation
• Validate that delivered data meets business intent, requirements, and quality expectations
• Own business sign-off and readiness for production release
• Coordinate release timing and communications with engineering and business stakeholders
• Act as the primary point of contact during and immediately following production release.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement:

• Maintain clear documentation of requirements, assumptions, validation results, and release notes
• Contribute to process improvements across intake, delivery, testing, and release workflows
• Promote best practices for clarity, traceability, and repeatability across data initiatives

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or data delivery roles
• Strong ability to work effectively in a globally distributed, cross-functional team environment
• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining clarity and focus

Must Have Skills:

• 4-7 years - Experience in data analysis, digital analytics, or business systems analysis.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, window functions, segmentation, transformation, and optimization.
• Python experience for data analysis, modeling, automation, or statistical workflows.
• Solid experience with digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, CJA, and Quantum Metric, including debugging and validation.
• Experience working with data across cloud environments: Azure, GCP, AWS, and/or Snowflake.
• Demonstrable ability to perform data quality validation, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience crafting dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Nice to Have:

• Experience conducting A/B testing analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, model outputs, and ML-assisted analysis workflows.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) to automate analysis, accelerate insight generation, or enhance documentation.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence for ticketing, documentation, and backlog management.
• Experience with GitLab for pipeline management, version control, and change management.
• Experience supporting omnichannel analytics across digital, retail, and care environments.
