Job Description
Role Overview:
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for owning key client accounts end-to-end, acting as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams. This role requires strong client handling skills, clear communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple accounts without compromising delivery quality. You are expected to lead conversations, manage expectations, protect timelines, and ensure retentionnot just execute tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Communication
Act as the primary SPOC for assigned clients
Lead client onboarding, briefing calls, review meetings, and ongoing communication
Manage client expectations, scope, timelines, and deliverables proactively
Handle escalations, feedback, and difficult conversations with confidence and clarity
Build long-term client relationships focused on trust, performance, and retention
Account Ownership & Delivery
Own accounts from onboarding to monthly delivery and renewal
Translate client briefs into clear internal action plans
Ensure all deliverables are met on time and as per scope
Maintain high service quality while handling multiple clients simultaneously
Monitor account health, identify risks early, and course-correct when needed
Internal Coordination
Work closely with PR, content, design, digital, and operations teams
Ensure internal teams have clear briefs, deadlines, and priorities
Follow up rigorously to avoid delays or gaps in delivery
Take accountability for final output before it reaches the client
Strategy & Growth Support
Contribute to client strategy discussions and campaign planning
Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities where relevant
Support renewals by demonstrating value and performance
Provide feedback to leadership on client trends, challenges, and improvements
Reporting & Documentation
Oversee weekly/monthly client reports and reviews
Ensure documentation, trackers, and internal notes are updated
Share clear status updates with leadership on account performance
Skills & Experience
4-7 years of experience in an agency environment (PR / Marketing / Digital / Brand)
Proven experience handling multiple clients independently
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and demanding clients
Clear understanding of agency workflows and timelines
Highly organised with strong follow-up skills
Comfortable pushing back when required, with professionalism
