Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer with extensive experience in database design, optimization, and performance tuning for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in advanced T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and related objects (stored procedures, functions, triggers).

Optimize queries and indexes for high-performance web applications.

Analyze and improve execution plans to ensure efficient query performance.

Implement database design best practices, including normalization and indexing strategies.

Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot database-related issues.

Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless integration between application and database.

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

Document database structures, processes, and optimization strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of experience in SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, DB2).

Strong proficiency in advanced T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexing.

Expertise in query optimisation, execution plans, and performance tuning for web applications.

Solid understanding of database design principles and best practices.

Experience with large-scale data environments and high-transaction systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ETL tools and data integration.

Familiarity with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).

Knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI or SSRS.
