SN Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

1 Detailed knowledge of SQL Server Database management processes and architecture

2 Ability to communicate and articulate technology discussions in relation to Databases at both technical and business levels

3 4-6 years experience as a Production SQL Server DBA

4 Deep understanding of SQL Server performance analysis and tuning / capacity planning / query optimization

5 Experience in handling Full, Differential and Transaction log backups

6 Experience in Database Recovery process

7 Hands on experience in managing and troubleshooting different high Availability techniques like Always on, Database Mirroring, SQL Clustering

8 Experience in managing, implementing and delivery of Database link servers

9 Experience in managing, implementing and delivery of technology enabled projects

10 Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities

11 Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end

12 Experience in working on all the ITIL Processes

13 Experience in Deployment of SQL server agent jobs
