Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support production MS SQL Server environments (201620192022).
Perform performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning for SQL Server instances.
Administer High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Execute and validate backup and recovery operations.
Automate operational and maintenance tasks using TSQL and PowerShell.
Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues.
Ensure security, compliance, and patching best practices.
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams.
Participate in oncall and offhours support as required.

Required Skills & Experience

512 years of handson experience as an MS SQL Server Administrator.
Strong understanding of SQL Server engine architecture and internals.
Experience with performance tuning using DMVs, Query Store, wait statistics, and execution plans.
Handson experience with HA/DR such as:
Always On Availability Groups
Failover Cluster Instances
Log Shipping / Replication
Strong knowledge of backup & restore strategies (full, diff, log, PITR).
Experience with SQL Server security (logins, roles, encryption, auditing).
Working experience with automation using TSQL and PowerShell.
Exposure to Windows OS, storage concepts, and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.
