Must Have:

• Knowledge on SQL Always On/Clustering/Log Shipping/Replication
• Knowledge on DB backup/restore
• Knowledge on DB health check/error log troubleshooting/performance tuning/capacity analysis/access provisioning.
• Knowledge on SQL Upgrade/Migration/Patching/Installation
• Should be flexible to work in 24*7 support model.
• Should be aware of standard ITIL process i.e. incident management, change management, etc.

Good to have:

• Exposure on SQL DB Encryption
• Exposure on DB Backup/restore through Net Backup
• Exposure on Index rebuild/reorg/update statistics
• Exposure on SQL Profiler
• Exposure on SSRS/SSIS/SSAS

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting of incidents related to DBA component
• Implement changes in DB infrastructure.
• Take part in analysis and designing for new project requirement
• Managing escalations in crisis situation.
