Sports Specialist

Role: JM Financial Foundation's Sports Development Program

Years of Experience: 6 to 8 years

Location: Prabhadevi (Mumbai) and project field location - Jamui (Bihar)

Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in any descipline with MBA/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Management. Preference will be given to candidates holding certifications in S4D (Sports for Development).

Responsibilities & Tasks:

Program and team management:

• Support in planning, monitoring, and execution of the JM Financial Foundation's CSR Sports Development Program operational in Jamui, Bihar.
• Work closely with on-ground teams and implementation partners to ensure timely execution of training schedules, events, and community initiatives.
• Assist in annual and quarterly planning, defining milestones, budgets, and performance indicators for the project.
• Coordinate with local project staff for training calendar management, facility utilization, and athlete progression tracking.
• Ensure program delivery aligns with the Foundations goals and quality standards, providing guidance and operational support to the field team.
• Maintain vendor database and handle vendor selection and evaluation.
• Coordinate across different verticals for smooth facilitation.

Stakeholder management and networking:

• Maintain continuous communication and coordination with district administration, local sports departments, and partner organizations involved in the Jamui project.
• Facilitate engagement with coaches, federations, training academies, and technical experts to strengthen the program ecosystem.
• Represent the Foundation in relevant meetings, workshops, and review sessions with partners and authorities.
• Assist in building strategic partnerships with sports institutions and grassroots organizations for program enhancement.
• Support the Project Lead in preparing updates and briefs for senior management and external stakeholders.

Reporting and impact documentation:

• Lead in data collection, analysis, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as participation, training hours, achievements, and community impact.
• In synergy with the partner organization, compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports, presentation decks, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. Support development of impact stories, case studies, and documentation for communication purposes.
• Maintain data and prepare presentations/ reports for the quarterly committee review meetings Maintain and update program MIS, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely submission from partner organization & field teams.
• Provide detailed and timely project updates on the internal and external communication platforms (WhatsApp, social media)
• Contribute to impact assessment studies and baseline/endline evaluations
• Compile data, write up for various internal publishings including quarterly reports (Endeavours)

Others:

• Coordinate logistics, procurement, and vendor management for program-related requirements from the Mumbai office.
• Assist in budget tracking and fund utilization review in coordination with the finance and admin teams.
• Support the Project lead/ Line Manager in strategic planning, review meetings, and presentation development.
• Participate in site visits to Jamui and other project locations as required for review, training, and monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to organizational compliance, safety, and documentation protocols.
• Candidate must be passionate about sports, with a keen interest and sound knowledge of indoor and outdoor sports - particularly football & athletics
