Speech Language Pathologist

Roles and Responsibilities Speech Therapist,

• As a Speech and Language therapist, responsible to provide support and treatment to babies, children, adults, and elderly people with a range of problems which include articulation issues, fluency, stammering, aphasia, language, and voice disorders.
• Need to support patients and children with speech and language problems of various causes such as developmental delays, Autism Spectrum, Disorder injury, stroke, learning, disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, cleft palate.
• Required to work as a part of multidisciplinary team with other health professionals and liase with family members, caregivers, teachers, and parents when developing treatment plans.
• Speech therapist is an integral team member of Child Development Centre of Dr.KMH and should enthusiastically participates in holistic development of children with special needs.
• Identifies and assesses the Speech and communicative disorder with standardized scales.
• Assess the cause and nature of the problems such as congenital (eg. Cleft palate) and acquired (e.g. Stroke, trauma).
• Devices and delivers a suitable treatment programme, working on one-to-one basis or in groups.
• Responsible for maintaining meticulous documentation of assessment, therapy sessions and progress of patients and regularly update the caregivers and family members.
• Review and revise the programme as appropriate.
• Advises, counsels, and supports the parents, caregivers, and family members.
• Monitors and evaluates the patients progress.
• Attends scientific programmes, workshops and updates knowledge and skills.
• Participates in research projects.
• Enthusiastically participates in community and social welfare programmes of the Institution.

Desired Candidate Profile.

Qualification: B.sc(Audiology and speech language pathology) & M.sc(Speech language pathology)

2+ Years Experience.

Clinical or Hospital experience preferred.

Immediate Joiner preferred.
