Job Summary:

The Specialist, Lead Engagement plays a pivotal role in Belden's strategy, driving pre-sales engagement and lead engagement within the APAC region. Operating within the Commercial function, you will initiate and nurture prospect relationships through strategic phone and email outreach, assessing customer needs and identifying new business opportunities. You will meticulously qualify marketing-generated leads against established criteria, transforming them into viable business opportunities. Qualified opportunities will be seamlessly transitioned to the Sales team via CRM for advanced engagement. This role is based in India and Singapore.


You will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Drive Pipeline Growth: Proactively identify and qualify high-potential opportunities by engaging prospects with insightful, solutions-oriented conversations, directly contributing to the expansion of Belden's sales pipeline across the APAC region.
  • Cultivate Key Relationships: Initiate and nurture meaningful relationships with prospective customers through multi-channel outreach (phone, email, social media), serving as Belden's crucial first point of contact and building foundational trust.
  • Optimize Lead Quality: Rigorously qualify inbound and outbound leads by assessing critical factors such as need, timing, and investment plans, ensuring only the most viable opportunities progress to the sales team for maximum efficiency.
  • Strategic Account Mapping: Strategically identify and map key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts, building a comprehensive understanding of customer organizations to facilitate targeted engagement.
  • Articulate Value: Effectively communicate Belden's diverse solutions and value proposition, generating genuine interest and positioning Belden as a trusted partner.
  • Optimize Strategy & Efficiency: Contribute to the continuous improvement and execution of lead generation strategies, leveraging insights from CRM data (Salesforce.com) to optimize pre-funnel performance and overall operational efficiency.
  • Seamless Sales Handoffs: Facilitate smooth and effective transitions of sales-qualified opportunities to the sales team, and/or scheduling productive discovery meetings that set the stage for successful conversions and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Process Refinement: Collaborate actively with relevant teams to analyze lead and opportunity quality, providing critical feedback to refine outreach processes and identify successful patterns that drive greater efficiency and conversion rates.


What you will bring:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a similar relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in lead engagement, business development, or inside sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Experience working within a similar industry as Belden (B2B environment), particularly in the APAC region, is preferred.
  • Highly articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with phone-based interactions, and adept at building rapport quickly across diverse cultural backgrounds. English fluency to business standard is essential; Mandarin fluency is a significant advantage.
  • A competitive and results-driven mindset with a passion for customer acquisition and engagement. Ability to proactively identify, qualify, and nurture leads through various channels (phone, email, social media).
  • Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for lead management, tracking, and reporting. Strong web-based computer skills, including the effective use of search engines, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales prospecting tools.
  • Ability to evaluate lead quality, analyze pre-funnel performance data, and contribute to the design and refinement of lead generation strategies.
  • A genuine interest in understanding customer needs and challenges, with the ability to effectively inform prospects about Beldens solutions and gauge interest.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment, capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team. Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Proven ability to get results, meet commitments, and continuously seek improvements in processes and personal performance.
