Job Description
Looking for a qualified Lawyer for a French Multinational Bank in Bangalore.
Responsibilities:
1. Corporate and commercial lawyer with investment banking, retail banking, NBFCs or financial institution experience.
2. Review negotiation requests to ensure completeness of information and documents required for drafting; allocate to appropriate regional hubs.
3. Drafting, Reviewing and Negotiation of several derivative documents with clients in coordination with various internal stakeholders sitting across the globe.
4. Internal as well as external stakeholder management, reporting and assistance to INK management for team-wide initiatives.
5. To contribute towards knowledge management through research, presentation and training on derivative documents, and strive to become a subject matter expert (SME).
6. Working on adhoc projects besides assisting managers in achieving team targets. Review of agreements/contract data and other works of team member once declared as a quality controller.
7. Reporting of the incidents to managers on a regular basis.
Profile Required:
1. Should possess a degree in law stream from a reputed university, having experience of derivative contracts drafting and negotiations with 8-15 years of experience.
2. Exposure towards European/Asian/US markets.
3. Sound knowledge of Corporate Law and Contract Law. Excellent legal drafting ability and eye for detail.
4. Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating International Commercial Contracts and Agreements, especially ISDA Master Agreement, Global Master Repurchase Agreement, Global Master Stock Lending Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
5. Excellent collaboration and Team and People Management Skills, self-motivated, ability to train team on derivative documents.
6. Sound legal understanding.
7. Advanced knowledge of finance-based contracts, derivative business and market.
8. Train team members, new joiners and other stakeholders as and when required.
9. Proficient in MS Office Tools.
10. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Constantly drive and own process improvements, digitalization and transformation initiatives.
12. Review and update the templates, guidelines, SOPs, etc from time to time.
