Role Responsibilities -
As a Specialist, your focus will be designing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Mumbai, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
- Interact directly with the customer project team to implement the system and assist in meeting their users' requirements.
- Support developers in understanding the API needed to extend the system, add data, and build interfaces between our system and external systems.
- Handle system installation tasks, including downloading and installing Java JRE, setting up relational databases, installing data models and upgrade scripts, configuring the event-driven framework, and setting up real-time market data feeds.
- Work hands-on with the system, configuring and testing it to ensure it meets the customer's technical requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, core development, or customer development teams to craft prototypes of eimprovementsthat meet business requirements.
- Follow up with users to test the implementation, achieve signoff, and progress the system towards go-live.
- Train users and customer developers on the basic use of the system, particularly focusing on the technical setup.
We expect you to have: (Minimum Qualifications)
- Experience in systems or technical analysis, preferably within the capital markets industry, with proficiency in software such as Java, Springboot, containerization tools, Spring, Swing, JDBC, RMI, J2EE, Linux, Oracle, Postgres, XML, Python, and CI/CD tools
- Solid experience in GUI and server-side development
- Excellent skills in object-oriented analysis, design, development, and solve
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with hands-on experience in Postgres and/or Oracle.
- Preference for domain experience in developing or implementing software for asset classes such as credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, fixed income, or FX.
- Valuable experience in crafting and building front-to-back capital markets trading systems.
- Relevant technical experience of 7 to 12 years, preferably in the capital markets domain.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with customers and train them, requiring patience and effective communication.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
- Proactive attitude and strong task ownership skills
- Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing priorities to meet demands
It would be great if you (Preferred Qualifications)
- Advanced certification in Java, Oracle, or a related field.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Domain expertise in developing or implementing software for asset classes such as credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, fixed income, or FX.
- A solid understanding of capital markets and financial technology.
