Position title: Specialist - Contract Management Data - Ocean Procurement
Location: Mumbai
We are looking for our next Global Data Management Specialist - Ocean Contract Management to join our Ocean Procurement Contract Management team, as part of our Ocean Procurement Category Management function reporting to the Global Data Manager. You will be in a dynamic, exciting, and transforming environment, with the ability to contribute to Maersk’s customer journey.

You will work with experienced and dedicated people in a global team creating significant impact on performance of our contracts and ability to deliver on our targets. As part of your role, you will be driving innovation of contracting processes, compliance & data management. This is also an opportunity to work with our process and digital / platforms teams to deliver on enterprise priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Rate Management
- Update rates and contracts in the financial systems.
- Drive rate management implementation projects in close collaboration with project manager and platform team.
- Pro-actively follow-up of the rates that are about to expire and ensure rates are available to finance for cost validation.
- Handle queries coming from Finance Procure To Pay execution related to non-availability of rates.
- Prepare and publish dashboards on rates analysis.
- Ensure timely adjustments to conditions in rate platforms according to agreements to maximize contract values.
- Rate exception handling
Contract Data Management
- Responsible for compliance dashboard platform maintenance and data quality.
- Flag issues on compliance related digital platforms to relevant teams.
- Responsible of the digitalization of contract values conditions.
- Ensure payment terms in the different systems are align with agreements.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor / master’s degree holder in procurement/supply chain management
- Background in digital transformation & data management
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word
- Excellent Communication Skills with good English-speaking knowledge.
- Demonstrable track record in a similarly complex and challenging role.
- Good understanding of terminal and shipping costs and prior experience in shipping industry is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, procure to pay department or shipping operations.
- Experience with Procure to Pay processes is a benefit.
- Process / continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to exercise impact without direct authority across stakeholders.
- Ambassador of company values and collaboration teamwork behaviors in a visible manner.
- Ability to constructively challenge the status quo with facts and data driven discussions.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator in English
- Extremely strong collaborator, and willing to go beyond just current job description.
