Spatial Database Engineer | Oracle Spatial / PostGIS + FME + ArcGIS Enterprise

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Experience: 410 years

Compensation: Up to 200,000 / month (negotiable based on experience)

Summary: Are you passionate about geospatial data and turning complex spatial logic into reliable, performant database solutions? We're looking for a skilled Spatial Database Engineer to join our team and own the heart of our enterprise geospatial systems.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and optimize spatial databases using Oracle Spatial or PostgreSQL/PostGIS including advanced spatial data types, indexes, functions, and queries.
• Write, maintain, and debug stored procedures, functions, and triggers to handle spatial business logic efficiently.
• Build and automate ETL workflows using FME Workbench (basic to intermediate level) for data ingestion, transformation, and quality control.
• Work with ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcSDE geodatabases manage schemas, versioning, replication, and workflows.
• Use Python scripting for automation, data processing, and integration tasks.
• Collaborate in a modern dev environment: Git for version control, issue tracking, and basic CI/CD processes.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on expertise in Oracle Spatial OR PostGIS (with strong SQL and spatial functions knowledge).
• Proven experience writing/maintaining database procedures and debugging complex logic.
• Practical FME experience for ETL.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise , ArcSDE data structures, and geospatial workflows.
• Solid Python for scripting/automation.
• Comfort with Git and agile development practices.

Nice-to-Have (Big Plus):

• Exposure to cloud databases (Azure / AWS managed services).
• Knowledge of containerization ( Docker ) or DevOps pipelines.
