Sourcing Specialist

Summary : We are looking for a detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist with strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment manufacturing. The role involves identifying reliable manufacturers, managing sourcing and merchandising activities, and ensuring timely follow ups to support smooth production and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and identify suitable manufacturers and vendors for fabrics and accessories
• Strong understanding of different types of fabrics, qualities, pricing, and usage
• Handle buying and merchandising activities in line with design and production requirements
• Generate leads and develop new vendor/manufacturer relationships
• Coordinate and follow up with manufacturers to ensure timelines, quality, and cost compliance
• Possess working knowledge of trims such as zips, buttons, labels, and other garment accessories
• Maintain vendor databases, costing details, and sourcing documentation

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment components
• Prior experience in sourcing, buying, or merchandising within the apparel or textile industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with apparel manufacturers and sourcing markets
• Understanding of buying, merchandising, and production processes
• Good communication and organizational abilities
