Solution Architect

• Mainframe presales analyst with 18 to 25 (or more) years of progressive experience in mainframe application management ,modernization solutioning, operations and people management.
• Should have solid technical understanding of IBM mainframe technologies (COBOL,CICS, JCL, Db2) and recent technology advances on the z/OS platform (DevOps, automation, web integration, containerization, hybrid cloud)
• Must have exposure and strong understanding of mainframe modernization strategies (rehost, rewrite, refactor, transcode)  and practical experience of at least one mainframe to cloud migration engagement.
• The ideal candidate should have a proactive mindset with demonstrated interest of learning new skills and tracking market developments in the area of mainframe application management.
• Must have strong communication and customer presentation skills.
• Must be able to engage with clients, understand their challenges and help them develop business cases and roadmaps for mainframe management.
• Should have experience of building proposals for mainframe application services management and modernization including Transition, Steady state optimization, Outsourcing, Pricing models.
• Must have experience in performing Modernization assessments and Proactive Opportunity mining.
• Must understand and be able to use and develop effort estimation models (resource based, T-shirt sizing)
• Must have past delivery experience and experience of building relationships in a client facing leadership role.
• Must be familiar with building delivery models and constructs for improving agility and cost savings.
• Should have experience of managing operations, resource planning, and tracking operational metrics across teams.
• Will be expected to spend a significant amount of time interviewing and building quality resources for the legacy practice.
• Must have flexibility for short term travel (Domestic/International)
• Exposure to AS400 and non-IBM mainframe such as Unisys and Fujitsu would be a plus.
• Desirable to have Knowledge of non-mainframe programming languages  (Java, .NET , Python)

Cloud Certification would be a strong plus
