Role details:

• Title / Designation: Solution Architect Linux Platform & Virtualization
• Location: Pune (Preferred)

Role & responsibilities:

• Architect and design Linux-based virtualization platforms using technologies such as VMware, KVM, and related virtualization frameworks.
• Translate business and technical requirements into High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Present architecture proposals and solutions to the Architectural Review Board (ARB) and ensure alignment with enterprise governance and architecture guidelines.
• Design highly available and scalable infrastructure architectures supporting mission-critical workloads in enterprise environments.
• Optimize infrastructure performance using technologies such as NUMA alignment, SR-IOV, and PCI passthrough to support high-performance workloads.
• Architect and integrate data center networking and storage solutions, including FC, iSCSI, NFS, LACP, and VXLAN, ensuring resilient and scalable platform design.

Candidate requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Linux infrastructure and virtualization technologies, including enterprise platform architecture.
• Strong expertise in virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, and associated virtualization management tools.
• Hands-on experience designing high-availability infrastructure solutions within enterprise or large-scale data centre environments.
• Solid understanding of compute, storage, and networking architecture, including data centre networking concepts and storage protocols.
• Experience creating architecture documentation, including HLD/LLD and participating in architecture governance or review processes.
• Proven experience working in client-facing or consulting environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, VMware VCP, or equivalent enterprise infrastructure certifications are highly preferred.
