Solution Architect Automation & DevSecOps

Overview

Seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect with 1015 years of strong technical and architectural expertise across software design, infrastructure automation, hybrid cloud platforms, and DevOps toolchains, with a solid background in infra/platform development and handson experience with configuration management tools and RESTful APIs.

The ideal candidate will possess deep handson experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, orchestration platforms, and modern automation practicesalong with strong proficiency in designing scalable, secure, highperforming enterprise solutions.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. The architect will collaborate with crossfunctional teams, senior stakeholders, and customers to define endtoend architecture, drive technical strategy, and lead execution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation and DevSecOps solutions.
• Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
• Establish standards and guardrails for automated provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD integration.
• Drive automation across infrastructure deployment and operational workflows for improved efficiency and repeatability.
• Own architectural decisions across application, infrastructure, integration, data, and security layers.
• Define reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable frameworks to accelerate solution development.
• Work with RESTful APIs to automate infrastructure and platform tasks.
• Manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructures.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to infrastructure and platform automation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Continuously improve and optimize automation processes.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities.

Required Skills

Core Architecture & IaC Expertise

• Strong experience with endtoend solution architecture including scalable, reliable, and secure system design.
• Architectural and implementation experience with IaC solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and related tools.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure/platform development principles and experience with programming languages such as Python, GoLang, Ruby, and/or Java for automation.

Configuration Management & Scripting

• Handson experience with multiple configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
• Proficiency in writing playbooks, cookbooks, modules, and custom data structures.
• Experience creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation scripts using:
• Python & custom modules
• Ansible libraries
• Chef Knife
• Terraform provider plugins

API & Linux Expertise

• Working experience with RESTful APIs and their integration into automation tools.
• Strong experience with Linux administration, command-line operations, and shell scripting.

CI/CD & Automation Tools

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

Containers & Orchestration

• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container lifecycle management.

Infra & Platform Technologies

• Strong understanding of:
• Bare Metal servers
• Storage (SAN/NAS)
• Networking
• Security
• Enterprise applications

Leadership & Architecture

• Experience leading teams and solutions during pursuit/solutioning phases.
• Ability to prepare endtoend architecture diagrams for solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and roadmap planning.
• Provide mentorship, thought leadership, and technical guidance to engineering teams and junior architects.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills for tackling complex automation issues.

Desired Skills

• Expert knowledge of:
• Docker
