Role Description

• Complete solar PV system design (C&I / hybrid systems)
• DC string sizing and MPPT configuration
• AC & DC cable sizing and voltage drop calculations
• Short-circuit current calculations (LV & MV systems)
• Protection philosophy development and relay coordination
• Switchgear selection and specification
• Earthing & grounding system design
• Microgrid architecture development
• BESS integration (grid-connected & off-grid operation)
• Transformer selection and integration
• Interface protection & interconnection logic
• SLD preparation and validation
• BOQ preparation and technical documentation
• Engineering calculation reports
• Design optimization and compliance verification

Required Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of IEC electrical and solar standards
• Knowledge of AS/NZS standards will be preferred
• Electrical protection and coordination principles
• Voltage drop & short-circuit calculations
• Cable sizing & derating
• Fuse and protection logic
• DC/AC ratio optimisation
• Earthing system design
• Microgrid protection philosophy
• BESS integration principles

Software Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word & PowerPoint
• AutoCAD
• ETAP / PowerCAD (preferred)
• PVSyst / Helioscope / Aurora Solar
• Engineering automation tools (advantage)

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4+ years of experience in electrical and solar system design
• Strong analytical and structured engineering mindset
• Capable of independent engineering ownership
• Comfortable handling full technical accountability
• Able to technically justify and defend design decisions
• Experience in Microgrid & BESS projects strongly preferred
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Ready to relocate to Delhi / Noida
