Software Test Engineer - Leapwork Automation

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional + Automation Testing Lead with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in functional testing, automation testing, Agile practices, and test leadership. Leapwork automation experience is a mandatory requirement . The ideal candidate must be capable of designing and executing both manual and automated test suites, leading test strategy, guiding team members, and ensuring highquality product delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

• Lead and execute endtoend functional and automation testing activities.
• Manage and execute regression test suites effectivelyboth manual and automated.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks using Leapwork (mandatory), Selenium with C#, and other industrystandard tools.
• Write new automation scripts and enhance existing ones using BDD (Cucumber/SpecFlow), Page Object Model (POM), and modern test design approaches.
• Perform crossbrowser and mobile device testing (manual + automation).

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Work as an active member of the Scrum Team , following Agile principles and ceremonies.
• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, refinement, and release planning.
• Ensure compliance with the Definition of Done for all requirements.

Environment & Data Management

• Set up, manage, and troubleshoot test environments & test data.
• Handle data ingestion, file input processing, and validation for complex scenarios.

Automation Framework & CI/CD

• Create and implement automation frameworks for:
• Frontend UI testing
• Middleware/API testing (REST APIs)
• Messageoriented middleware (Azure Service Bus)
• Integrate test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines .
• Implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous testing.

Testing Coverage & Quality Assurance

• Design and execute acceptance tests aligned with acceptance criteria.
• Validate requirements using Black Box and White Box testing methods.
• Ensure full traceability of requirements, test cases, and defects.
• Conduct defect management: logging, tracking, and verifying resolutions.

Test Reporting & Documentation

• Document test results within the test management tool.
• Provide timely test progress updates, risk identification, mitigation actions, and quality insights.
• Ensure comprehensive test reporting and maintain high standards of test documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with marketleading testing tools and automation advancements.
• Mentor team members on test processes, tooling, and automation techniques.
• Participate in all major Scrum ceremonies and release planning activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in functional testing and automation testing.
• Mandatory: Strong handson experience in Leapwork automation .
• Extensive experience with Selenium + C# , BDD frameworks, and POM structures.
• Proficient in API testing (REST), Azure Service Bus messaging systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
• Solid understanding of software testing processes, techniques, and standards.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps .
• Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.
