Software Technical Lead

Role Overview

Repro seeks a hands-on Software Tech Lead spending 60% on coding/system design and 40% on leadership/team management. Requires strong expertise in Java, Python, SQL, AWS, eCommerce platforms, and AI/ML (including LLMs). Must combine deep engineering skills with team mentorship and scalable, production-grade architecture ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development (60%)

• Design scalable backend systems (Java, Python)
• Architect cloud-native apps on AWS
• Build/optimize APIs, microservices, distributed systems
• Design/manage SQL databases (RDBMS & cloud-native)
• Integrate AI/ML & LLM solutions (RAG, fine-tuning, APIs)
• Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, security
• Conduct code reviews; enforce best practices

Leadership & Team Management (40%)

• Lead and mentor engineers
• Drive sprint planning, roadmaps, delivery
• Translate business needs into architecture
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, AI teams
• Ensure quality via CI/CD, testing, standards
• Identify and mitigate technical risks

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in CS or related
• 410 years engineering experience
• Proven technical team leadership
• Must actively code (60% hands-on)
