About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Senior Engineer. We are seeking a creative and user-centric UX Designer with hands-on experience in Figma and a strong foundation in design thinking methodologies. You will play a critical role in shaping intuitive, scalable, and visually engaging user experiences across our digital products. This role requires close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to design end-to-end workflows that align with both user needs and business goals.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Exposure to developer portals, platform experiences, or enterprise SaaS products.
Experience with user research tools like Maze, Optimal Workshop, or UserTesting.
Familiarity with tools like Miro, FigJam, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Understanding of front-end frameworks such as React or Angular from a design-handshake perspective.
Job Expectations:
Experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing design thinking-led projects.
Expert in Figma (components, prototyping, design systems).
Strong understanding of user-centered design, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum product development environments.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
Apply design thinking principles to discover, define, ideate, prototype, and test user-centric solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and journey mapping to inform design decisions.
Deliver high-fidelity UI designs that are consistent with our design system and brand guidelines.
Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Iterate on feedback to enhance UX quality and product usability.
Contribute to and evolve the design system and reusable UI components.
