Software Engineering Manager - Sales Force

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Engineering Manager – Salesforce to lead the transformation of our Dealer Management System, Lead Management System, and Service Management Platform. You will own technical Architecture, Roadmap, delivery, and team leadership for Salesforce-based solutions, ensuring after-sales, lead conversion, and dealer operations run with the speed, intelligence, and customer obsession of a next-generation  EV company.

You will be a key player in architecting systems that are built for the long term and can seamlessly scale with our expansion plans.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT ATHER:

Platform Vision, Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Translate complex business requirements into well-architected solutions that best utilize the Salesforce platform and its suite of products including Sales, Service, and Community Clouds.

• Lead technical design sessions to create and document comprehensive solutions that align with business objectives, identifying any gaps between the current and desired states.

• Define and deliver a Salesforce roadmap for dealer, lead, and service experiences that sets a new industry benchmark.

• Guide technical design, architecture, and integrations to ensure performance, scalability, and security across our nationwide footprint.

• Collaborate with Salesforce Architects to introduce Flow automation, Einstein and omnichannel customer service tools.

• Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration aspects of a Salesforce implementation.

• Develop Technical capability and Scale in the team

Collaboration & Implementation

• Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define requirements, set expectations, and manage deliverables.

• Partner with Ather Energy's internal IT teams and external vendors  to facilitate smooth implementations.

• Be hands-on when needed to deep-dive into projects to debug and resolve issues.

• Travel to Ather Energy branches and sites as required for projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite (Sales, Service, Community Clouds) and its ecosystem, including APIs, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows.

• Deep knowledge of systems architecture, key design patterns, and best practices for managing large data volumes.

• Proficiency in data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with other business systems (ETL, marketing automation, etc.).

• Strong grasp of data sharing, visibility considerations, and platform authentication patterns like SAML, SSO, and OAuth.

• Adept in environment management, release management, code versioning, and deployment methodologies.

• Problem-Solving & Big-Picture Thinking:

• A blend of big-picture thinking and in-depth problem-solving abilities.

• Proven ability to design systems that can handle high volumes and are built for long-term scalability.

• Experience in defining a system architecture landscape and identifying gaps to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A seasoned professional with a strong development background and extensive experience in Salesforce.

• Demonstrated experience in the design and development of large-scale web-based systems or exposure to the complete software product lifecycle.

• Possesses a good mix of technical and enterprise skills for architecting solutions.

• Experience in  scaling Salesforce solutions for large dealer networks or multi-location service businesses is preferred

• Experience with AI/ML in customer service, predictive analytics, and workflow automation is a plus.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills in fast-paced environments.

WHAT YOU BRING TO ATHER:

• Qualifications:

• A degree in BE/B.Tech or MCA/PGDCA is required.

• Salesforce certifications preferred (Application Architect, System Architect,  higher). Or  the ability to obtain them upon hiring.

• 8+ years insoftware engineering with at least 4 years leading Salesforce-based solutions.

• Strong experience in Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud and integrations with ERP, field service tools along with data and reports.
