Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems.
5 years of experience managing teams.
Experience in Java, TypeScript, SQL, Flume.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with handling large amount of data in different storage systems.
Experience with distributed system design and maintenance.
Experience with building and deploying user-facing applications for user base.
Experience in owning, driving and delivering large and scalable infrastructures.
Experience with data model and data schema design.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of apps and infrastructures that collect, manage human data(ranging from strongly consented user contributions to simple yes/no preferences) to power the next releases of Gen AI models.
Work closely with engineers, program managers, client program managers, client software engineers, researchers, legal and UX to design and develop user facing applications.
Build backend systems and services to power user experience, rapid deployment of features,some may be zero-code. Creating infrastructure for data compliance requirements: DMA, GDPR, lineage, wipeout.
Create offline pipelines using flume for various product and infrastructure needs, like supporting dashboards, data quality, shuttling, registering and controlling datasets between infrastructure.
Drive the goal for Google Crowdsource. Knowledge of back-end, front-end stacks with understanding of platform and application design principles. Help shape the future of Human-in-the-loop and influence the ML and LLM space.
