Software Engineering Lead – SpringBoot or Java or Angular

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Owners, UI Designers and fellow developers to translate business requirements into app features
• Fix bugs and write test cases to improve code coverage
• Estimate the effort required to execute the business requirements
• Mentor juniors and help them grow
• Writing optimized code which can reduce renders and prevent memory leaks and other potential issues
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Though not a deal-breaker)
• 5+ years of experience in React or Next.js or any other similar UI framework
• 5+ years of experience in Javascript and/or Typescript
• 3+ years of experience in React Native
• 2+ years of experience in Unit Tests with React Testing Library and Jest or Karma or Enzyme
• Knowledge of environments, release technologies like TestFlight, Bitrise, Jenkins, Github Actions, AppCenter, Crashlytics
• Solid understanding of JS and TS internals which is beyond null vs undefined
• Know-how of i18n and a11y
• Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms and good problem solving skills
• Not scared to admit that You-Dont-Know-JS (https://github.com/getify/You-Dont-Know-JS)
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross scrum and cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in working with Consumer driven applications at scale (min. 100K users)
• Knowledge of Contract Testing and Storybook Testing
• Knowledge in Backend Technologies like Springboot, Express JS or others
• Knowledge in Cloud Technologies like AWS or Azure stack
• Knowledge in Native App development like Android or iOS
• Knowledge of making tweaks in Babel and/or Webpack
