About the Role

We are seeking a Teamcenter Customization & Middleware Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Siemens Teamcenter server-side customization, integrations, and enterprise middleware. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain custom solutions across the Teamcenter stack (ITK/BMIDE/AWC/SOA), orchestrate integrations with multiple upstream and downstream systems, and ensure performance, security, and reliability of our PLM ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop Teamcenter customizations using ITK (C/C++), SOA/REST services, BMIDE (data model extensions), Workflow handlers, Active Workspace (AWC) UI customization/extensions, and utilities that enhance Teamcenter functionalities.
  • Build and maintain eQube-based integrations with downstream or upstream systems such as TcPCM, CAD (Creo, CATIA), iValua, leveraging SOA, REST/SOAP, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/MQ), and ETL pipelines.
  • Develop microservices/APIs for system interoperability, ensuring proper API security, versioning, documentation, and monitoring.
  • Optimize Teamcenter performance (indexing, caching, BMIDE model efficiency, query tuning) and troubleshoot complex server‑side issues.
  • You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, CAD administrators, and enterprise IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performing PLM capabilities.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3+ years of experience in Teamcenter server-side customization: ITK (C/C++), SOA, BMIDE, Workflow handlers, Extensions, and AWC configuration/customization.
  • Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) including DBOM, EBOM, MBOM, and BOM Alignment (D‑EBOM to E‑MBOM).
  • Strong expertise in Teamcenter Variant Management.
  • Advanced BMIDE configuration and data model management skills.
  • Experience with Integration/Middleware technologies: eQube, REST/SOAP APIs, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/MQ), microservices, or equivalent middleware platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle or MS SQL Server, including SQL queries, schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s  degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
  • Scripting & Automation: Python, Shell/PowerShell, Groovy.
  • Classification setup and attribute mapping strategies.
  • Experience in Change Management
