About the Role

Design, enhance, support, and maintain Harman’s e-commerce storefront applications on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). Continuously monitor existing systems to identify and recommend improvements or refactoring opportunities. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements, ensuring clear project deliverables and timelines aligned with Agile methodology. Take ownership of the development and support of all SFCC e-commerce initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver impactful content and applications, incorporating e-commerce technologies, emerging cloud trends, and security/compliance standards. Partner with IT and internal technical teams to ensure a robust application infrastructure. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure adherence to established software development standards.

What You Will Do

• Develop feature enhancements, new modules, and bug fixes.

• Create reliable estimates for incoming tickets.

• Coordinate and communicate requirements between local and remote teams of architects and developers.

• Ensure that design and implementation details are well documented throughout the SDLC.

• Participate as part of a global team providing 24x7 on-call support for e-commerce applications.

• Stay up to date with the latest SFCC, payment, security, and cloud trends that can help address business challenges.

• Contribute to the development of reusable components.

• Communicate the status of enhancements and issue resolutions to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.

• Quickly analyze and resolve critical issues.

• Work closely with the QA team to evaluate testing strategies and coverage to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and collaborate with business teams, partners, and vendors to create end-to-end specifications for e-commerce solutions.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Minimum of 3–4 years of web development experience, with an emphasis on e-commerce platform implementations.

• 2+ years of experience supporting and enhancing e-commerce solutions such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

• 2+ years of experience designing, implementing, and migrating e-commerce solutions.

• Ability to work in cross-functional teams with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, product and project managers, and business stakeholders.

• Experience implementing and integrating content management systems.

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to help refine and capture software requirements.

• Understanding of payment systems and PCI compliance standards.

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and strong troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to write cross-browser and mobile-friendly code.

• Write elegant, efficient, and well-documented server-side and front-end code using JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS, etc.

• Experience managing Git repositories in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of coding best practices and design patterns.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer and Architect credentials.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
