Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to Client Requirements for extending the capabilities of existing tools developing solutions which meet or exceed stated metrics and comply with Enterprise standards within the required minimal timeframe
• Maintain the currency and security of platform components driving the schedule to install patches and other essential upgrades in the test environments before handing off the plan for such patches upgrades to a Production Support team
• Address compliance issues raised by various Enterprise departments researching the complaint or goal applying specifications to our platform components attending instruction meetings ifas needed exploring platform details and reaching out to any necessary resources
• Maintain awareness of capabilities limitations and concerns about the vendor product plus a ready reference to vendor services such as Support channels upload download policies and patch upgrade schedules
• Explore the capabilities limitations consultation channels and cross component incompatibilities of partnered products technologies including database middleware operating system storage loadbalancing java and hardware
• Keep your Clients informed about upcoming platform actions which may impact them
• Proactively seek VoC Voice of Customer with an attitude of helping Line of Business Clients to be more effective through the tools processes you develop and help to support
• Comply with mandated training policies and individual protocols of the Enterprise
• Cultivate an awareness of new technologies and opportunities for secure stable interactions between new and old technologies
• Plan and execute data migrations ifas needed
• Design develop and maintain solutions using OpenText Content Suite Documentum Extended ECM
• Configure and customize OpenText CMS modules workflows and integrations
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop custom components web services and integrations with thirdparty systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to content management permissions and document lifecycle
• Perform system upgrades patches and migrations as needed
• Ensure compliance with security governance and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical documentation and user training as required
• Support and optimize existing OpenText CMS implementations

Required Skills

• Strong experience with OpenText Content Suite Platform Documentum or Extended ECM
• Proficiency in OpenText development tools OTDS OScript WebReports Smart View etc
• Experience with Java JavaScript RESTSOAP web services and XMLXSLT
• Good understanding of content management concepts metadata and document lifecycle
• Experience with workflow design and business process automation in OpenText
• Familiarity with integration to ERP CRM or other enterprise systems
• Knowledge of database systems Oracle SQL Server etc
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Skills

Mandatory Skills : MySQL, OpenText Documentum.
