Role Description

This is a full-time, in-office role for a Software Engineer Intern. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the core tools and products that power our business, from backend systems and APIs to internal dashboards and client-facing applications. Daily tasks include writing clean, production-ready Python code, designing database schemas, building RESTful APIs, and collaborating with the team to ship features fast. This is a product-focused engineering role in a fast-moving startup where your code goes live from day one.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

Strong proficiency in Python with focus on building full applications - backend logic, data models, and clean maintainable code, not just scripts or notebooks.

Hands-on experience with Python frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask for building APIs and web applications from scratch.

Solid understanding of databases, designing schemas, writing queries, and working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar in real projects.

Familiarity with Git and version control - clean commit history, branching, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.

Basic understanding of system design - how to structure a codebase, separate concerns, and build something that scales beyond a prototype.

Exposure to frontend basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or React) is a plus - enough to build simple dashboards or internal tools end to end.

Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Railway, Render, or VPS) - your projects should live on the internet, not just on localhost.

Ability to read documentation, learn new tools quickly, and figure things out independently without constant hand-holding.

Builder mindset - you have personal projects, a GitHub profile with actual code, and you enjoy solving problems through engineering, not just theory.
