Team and Position Summary:

Everybody has data but at Walmart, the sheer volume of data can be infinite. Pricing application helps repricing the items across Stores and ecom platform. This team uses intelligent algorithm to identify the new reduced prices to optimise the profit and increase these items sales.

We are looking for Sr. Engineering Manager  to join Pricing team at Walmart Labs. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in: building a passionate team and a meaningful product that will fundamentally change the way Store operations work. You will be responsible for growing the team; working closely with our engineering, design and product teams to deliver on our vision for the future and helping evolve our industry-changing app.

Position Responsibilities:

·     Write efficient and quality code that can work @ Walmart scale

·      Adopt Walmart’s quality standards and develop and recommend process standards and best practices across the retail industry

·      Research, learn & adapt new technologies to solve problems & improve existing solutions

·      Adhere to company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

·      Own and maintain unit test suites for the modules developed

Position Requirements:

·  Bachelors or Masters in Computer science with 2-6 years of core Software development experience.

·   Basic understanding of Spring Framework.

·   Ability to translate design into code.

·   Good understanding of collections, concurrency and object oriented concepts.

·   Good understanding of distributed systems.

·   Good understanding of micro services concepts.

·   Understanding of NoSQL systems such as ElasticSearch or Solr will be a plus.

·   Good understanding of various troubleshooting techniques and tools.

Minimum qualifications:

·  B.E/B.Tech from a reputed institution

·  Minimum of 2 years of Java experience

· Experience in implementing projects/products of medium to high complexity
