Software Engineer III AWS Cloud + Java Full Stack Developer React + Oracle

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the EP, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & AWS Services:
  • Design, develop and manager scalable and secure cloud applications on AWS as well as private cloud (On-Prem)
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines
• Java Backend Development:
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure Java-based backend services and microservices
• Front-End Development (React):
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic, responsive user interface using React.js and related technologies
• Database Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage SQL Databases for storing and managing application data
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work in an Agile team environment, participating in sprint planning, standups and retrospectives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Java: Strong coding experience in Java and frameworks like Spring
• AWS Cloud: Experience in implementing AWS services
• Microservices Architecture: Hands-On experience in developing microservices and deploying them in Cloud & Non-Cloud environments
• APIs: Experience with RESTful API design and development
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in building large scale product/systems
• Integrating between services using framework (Kafka)
• Understanding & implementation of clean code principles; Estimate projects, discuss scope, question requirements, and challenge the design
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience leading technical teams and provide technical direction across product teams 
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies AND cloud technologies
• (Java 8+ preferred)
