Job Title: Software Engineer (II) - Commodity Engineer III

Location: Chennai

Position Description:

• Application Development (VBCS)
• Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive web and mobile applications using Oracle VBCS.
• Create custom user interfaces, forms, and interactive dashboards that meet business requirements.
• Extend Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, CX) with custom VBCS solutions.
• Implement business logic using JavaScript and leverage Oracle JET framework capabilities.
• Embed Power BI reports and dashboards directly into VBCS applications to provide a seamless user experience.
• Data Visualization & Business Intelligence (Power BI) Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
• Build complex data models and write optimized DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries.
• Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query (M language).
• Establish data security frameworks within Power BI, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Schedule and manage data refreshes via Power BI Gateways.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specs for both apps and reports.
• Conduct thorough testing (Unit, Integration, and UAT) for both application functionality and data accuracy.
• Debug and troubleshoot application performance and report latency issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for application architecture and data lineage. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor existing VBCS apps and Power BI workspaces, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
• Stay current with Oracle Cloud updates and Power BI monthly feature releases.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual data reporting processes using the Power Platform or OIC.

• Fusion HCM extension using VBCS
• Power BI DAX, RLS, Gateway
• Power BI embedding in applications

• Bachelor's Degree
