Software Engineer

What Youll Do:

Backend Development

1. Develop and maintain backend services using NestJS + Node.js
2. Write clean, modular, and well-tested code following best practices
3. Implement RESTful APIs and microservices with attention to scalability

System Design & Architecture

1. Collaborate in system design discussions and learn distributed system concepts
2. Support senior engineers in designing scalable, fault-tolerant architectures

Database Management

1. Work with SQL/NoSQL databases for modeling, queries, and performance tuning
2. Ensure data consistency and basic optimizations in stored logic

Security & Quality

1. Follow secure coding standards (OWASP, auth flows, validation)
2. Contribute to testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews

AI-Enabled Engineering

1. Use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.) for faster, higher-quality delivery
2. Learn to integrate AI-based workflows into backend systems

Observability & Reliability

1. Implement logging and monitoring with APMs (NewRelic, Datadog, OpenObserve)
2. Participate in debugging and issue resolution in staging and production

Collaboration & Growth

1. Work with Product, Data, and SDE-2/3 mentors to deliver features
2. Take ownership of small-to-medium modules and demonstrate continuous improvement

Qualifications Required

1. 23 years backend experience with Node.js/NestJS
2. Solid grounding in DSA, OOP, and microservice concepts
3. Hands-on with SQL & NoSQL databases
4. Understanding of API design, testing, and CI/CD
5. Awareness of secure coding and compliance basics
6. Exposure to cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
7. Willingness to use and learn AI coding tools

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in fintech, SaaS, or high-scale product systems
2. Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus
3. Knowledge of monitoring tools and APMs
4. Strong communication and eagerness to learn system design from senior engineers
