Role: Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park (Hybrid)

Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.
CommBank is recognised as leading the industry in IT and operations with its world-class platforms and processes, agile IT infrastructure, and innovation in everything from payments to internet banking and mobile apps.
Impact & contribution:
The Software Engineer will be contributing towards building best in class centralised reporting platform. You will be involved from requirements, design, development, testing CICD, and implementation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Have passion for solving problems using software
- Demonstrated experience operating within a mature SRE capability
- Have good experience in software development within an agile/DevOps environment
- Are ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks
- Are capable to create both technology blueprints and engineering roadmaps, for a multi-year document management transformational journey
- Can lead and drive a culture where quality, excellence and openness are championed
- Constantly think outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex problems
Essential Skills:
- Experience in Scripting languages, bash, powershell or any other structured language
- Experience in AWS cloud and cloud patterns, certified in AWS and Kubernetes desirable
- Experience in on-prem to cloud interop desirable
- DB knowledge
- API’s
- Serverless and microservice architecture
- GitHub, GitActions, TeamCity
- Kubernetes, Helm, EKS
- Architecture principles
- Experience maintaining monitoring solutions and CI/CD pipelines
- AWS Code Pipeline
- Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and API/Service based testing using tools such as POSTMAN and Pact
- Selenium, SonarQube, WiZ, Splunk, Observe, PagerDuty, Prometheus/Grafana, Terraform
- Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- OpenText knowledge – Documentum and InfoArchive desirable but not a mandate
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
