Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team: BB Technology is at the forefront of transforming Australia's premier Business Bank by embracing cutting-edge technologies and innovating new products and services tailored for our Business Banking clientele. Our focus is on catering to the diverse needs of businesses, offering a broad spectrum of products in Everyday Business Banking, Merchants, Business Lending, Agri-Business, CommBank Health, and CommSec.

As a member of the delivery team, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our applications. Your responsibilities will include developing automation solutions to minimize manual interventions, thereby enhancing efficiency. Additionally, as a Quality Engineer, you will be tasked with designing and implementing testing procedures to verify software functionality and performance, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Impact &contribution:

  • Drive the initiatives for the bank in the area of automation.
  • Develop automation solutions for the bank to ensure the best controls are in place.
  • Act as an adviser to your business, delivering accurate and timely insights on performance information to key internal and external stakeholders.


Roles & responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of simple test harnesses, frameworks, tools
    and infrastructure to enable test automation, CI/CD and code quality.
  • Build robust test doubles to minimize dependencies.
  • Perform basic maintenance and monitoring of non-production
    environments.
  • Influence product design, implementation, and enhancement to support
    testability and quality.
  • Contribute to process changes to improve product quality.
  • Automate basic real time anomaly detection through services such as log
    monitoring.
  • Build, integrate maintain basic solutions to provide test data.
  • Utilize standardized metrics and reporting to provide testing and quality
    insights.
  • Create well-engineered, scalable, and reliable tests.
  • Participate in learning culture through activities such as guilds and brown
    bag lunches.


Essential skills:

  • 4+ Years of strong automation experience using Selenium, API automation using RestSharp or RestAssured, well versed with .NET & Java Libraries
  • Sound understanding of Automation Framework - Using C# or JAVA
  • Good experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps using likes of TeamCity preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining and managing GitHub repository, project creation, pushing & pulling code.
  • Strong understanding on integration points like APIs, web Methods.
  • Database knowledge preferred.
  • Good understanding on System Design
  • Experience in Setting up test virtual machine & sand boxes desirable.
  • Experience in creating the mock services or stubs.
  • Experience in Test Data Management
  • Experience in debugging and resolving the test environment issues.
  • Experience in analysing the application failures using System or Application logs.


Education Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
