Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with 5 to 6 years of experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities Python CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and preferably domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications using IBM Mainframe Utilities Python CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new software features.
  • Design and implement efficient scalable and maintainable code to meet project specifications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing software applications.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Document software designs code and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software development practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure software applications comply with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize software performance and enhance user experience.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives.

    • Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical skills in IBM Mainframe Utilities Python CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in designing and implementing software applications.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Show ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Have strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Preferably have domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Be adaptable to a hybrid work model and day shifts.
  • Display commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
