Software Engineer Backend

Position Overview:

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our services. The ideal candidate has a strong background in backend development, experience with cloud services, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features and enhancements.
• Optimize and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our backend services.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and incorporate them into our development processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modelling.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be available for immediate joining.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with gRPC and protocol buffers.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., SigNoz, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of security best practices and data protection.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies will be a plus.
