Job Title: Software Engineer – Sterling

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team: PSU IT

Impact & contribution

Collaborate with Business Banking stakeholders to develop & store payments data on cloud and help the squads in building the targeted applications-based cloud based microservices.

Bringing the best design and development solutions to some of the complex problems in the data services crew and doing POC with latest tech stack and helping the squads to build the solutions with latest tech stack.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Platform Maintenance and Support: Ensuring the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator platform is running smoothly and efficiently, addressing any issues or incidents that arise.
  • System Upgrades and Patching: Implementing necessary upgrades and patches to keep the system up-to-date and secure.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the performance of the platform to ensure it meets the required standards.
  • User Support: Providing support to users of the platform, including troubleshooting and answering queries.
  • Integration and Implementation: Integrating new software and tools into the Sterling platform as needed.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of the platform's architecture, processes, and any changes made.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience is required  
  • Good Sterling Business process (BP) development experience using different Services and Adapters.
  • In-Depth Knowledge on B2B integration products like IBM Sterling B2B integrator (SBI), SSPCM, SSP, SEAS, SCC etc.,
  • Should have experience in networking with the ability to set up communication channels using SFTP, connect Direct, XCOM, MQ.
  • Good Linux Administration skills and shell scripting.
  • Core Java development to handle custom requirements.
  • Should be familiar with SSL certificate renewal process.
  • Good knowledge on oracle database and DML commands.
  • Experienced in working in a DevOps environment and contributing to the CI-CD pipeline.
  • Monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, App Dynamics.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
