About the Role
As a SAP IBP Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering robust supply chain planning solutions using SAP Integrated Business Planning. You will engage closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, design tailored planning strategies, and drive successful implementation and user adoption of IBP functionalities. Your role will also encompass data integration, system performance enhancement, and user training.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and configure SAP IBP modules, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, and S&OP.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain key figures, planning areas, planning views, and heuristics within IBP.
- Integrate IBP with SAP and non-SAP systems using CPI-DS or SDI to ensure seamless data flow.
- Perform data modeling, validation, and troubleshooting to maintain data accuracy and optimize performance.
- Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Document technical specifications, configuration guides, and support procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP IBP features and best practices to continuously enhance planning solutions.
What You Need to Be Successful
- A driven and motivated SAP Business Systems Analyst with 4 to 6 years of experience in SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning), SAP APO, or similar planning tools.
- Proven experience in at least one full-cycle SAP IBP implementation, specifically in Demand and Supply Planning.
- Hands-on expertise in configuring IBP modules for Demand, Supply, Inventory, and Response, including the ability to debug complex key figure calculations and correlate them with business processes.
- Strong understanding of SAP MRP and GATP processes, with the ability to identify gating factors and resolve pegging issues arising from demand prioritization and allocation in Order-Based Planning.
- Skilled in reverse engineering to understand HARMAN’s SAP IBP processes and contribute to future change requests.
- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / Smart Data Integration (SDI), ECC integration, and quarterly upgrade cycles.
- Strong experience with BW, Snowflake, and flat file integration using the SAP directory.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Skilled in reverse engineering to understand HARMAN’s SAP IBP processes and develop future change requests on the CI-DS side.
- Formal training, certifications, or practical experience in structured problem-solving approaches.
