Summary: As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems, applying knowledge of technologies, methodologies, and tools to support projects or clients throughout the product lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities: - Test Strategy & Architecture: Design and implement a comprehensive system test strategy for connected vehicle solutions, covering functional, security, performance, and end-to-end validation. - Test Framework Development: Develop and enhance test automation frameworks, simulation environments, and cloud-based validation platforms for connected car systems. - System Validation & Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity), UNECE WP.29, and AUTOSAR for connected vehicle security and safety. - Connected Car Feature Testing: Lead validation of OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, V2X communication, telematics, infotainment, cybersecurity, and data analytics. - Cloud & IoT Testing: Validate cloud-based vehicle connectivity, data streaming, and backend integration with platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with software, hardware, security, and DevOps teams to align test requirements and resolve system issues. - Test Execution & Reporting: Oversee test execution, issue tracking, root cause analysis, and test reporting, ensuring continuous improvement in system validation. - Supplier & Toolchain Management: Evaluate and integrate third-party testing tools, connectivity solutions, and network simulators for comprehensive validation. - Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of system test engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, automation, and best practices in connected car testing. Professional & Technical Skills: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. - 12+ years of experience in system testing, validation, and verification of connected vehicle services, telematics, or infotainment systems. - Strong expertise in V2X, 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and IoT protocols. - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, cloud-based validation, and vehicle network simulation. - Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java for test automation and scripting. - Knowledge of AUTOSAR, MQTT, REST APIs, CAN, Ethernet, and TCP/IP protocols. - Experience with cybersecurity testing for connected vehicles and compliance with ISO 21434 & UNECE WP.29. - Familiarity with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, backend integration, and data security protocols. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a deep understanding of cloud-based automotive platforms. Preferred Certifications: - ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Manager or equivalent certification. - AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Certification for cloud-based validation expertise. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in Automotive Mobility Services & Connected Vehicles. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
