Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with hands-on experience in frontend automation to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of automation frameworks, be proficient in at least one programming language, and have a passion for ensuring product quality through robust test coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for frontend applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and execution (manual and automated).
• Debug issues, identify root causes, and provide actionable feedback to the development team.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) test pipelines.
• Work closely with backend teams for end-to-end testing including APIs and integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience in frontend test automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript , Java, or Python).
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, browser dev tools).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub).

Good to Have

• Experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Exposure to backend and API automation (e.g., using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
