Job Description
We are part of Amazon Prime, which is world’s most recognized and loved membership program.
The BEVS team develops the technology stack to vend eligible benefits to Prime members across the world.
Processing millions of transactions per second, serving the eligibility requests in milliseconds, designed for 99.999 availability are some of the things our systems take pride in.
These numbers should give you a sense of the scale and exciting problems to solve as an engineer in this team.
We are currently looking for talented software development engineers to lead innovation in our team.
The team has a great set of complex unsolved technical & business problems on the roadmap.
The solution for these need to be designed & developed considering use cases across various membership programs in Amazon and not limited to only Prime membership.
Key job responsibilities
1.Plan, Design and Implement innovative software solutions to deliver best benefit experience for Prime members
2.Optimization of the existing technology stack for scalability and transformation to common infrastructure to support multiple subscription programs across Amazon
3.Proactively liaise with business leaders and partner technical teams to solve complex problems
4.Quickly ramp up on the new solutions prioritized in the roadmap and contribute to the design & implementation of the same.
5.Maintain high standards in operational excellence
The massive scale (and continuously increasing) of Amazon Prime membership provides every technologist exposure to design & architecture of highly distributed and scalable systems and scope to further innovate.
The role will also allow for opportunities to grow into next level of technical leadership and thereby play a much bigger role in designing innovative solutions impacting larger aspects of Prime and overall Amazon business.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non
- internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non
- internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
