Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Your typical day will involve analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, writing code, and conducting testing to ensure the quality of the application. You will collaborate with team members, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the overall success of the project. Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions. Data Storage and Management: Develop and manage data lakes and data warehouses using AWS technologies like Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon RDS. Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources including relational databases, NoSQL databases, APIs, and third-party services. Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing and storage solutions to improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency for the existing pipelines. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data pipelines and storage systems to ensure high availability and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues as they arise. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide support in accessing and interpreting data. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain data security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data systems, processes, and pipelines. Technical Skills: Proficiency with AWS services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, and AWS Lambda. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB). Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python & Scala. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS). - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
