Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Your typical day will involve analyzing requirements, designing solutions, writing code, and conducting testing to ensure the quality of the application code. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. - Design and develop software solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. - Perform unit testing and debugging of software components. - Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members. - Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs. - Document software designs, technical specifications, and test plans. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. - Mentor and guide junior team members. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM InfoSphere DataStage. - Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data integration. - Experience in designing and developing ETL workflows and data pipelines. - Knowledge of SQL and database concepts. - Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Server. - Experience with data quality and data governance tools. - Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IBM InfoSphere DataStage. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
