Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Your typical day will involve analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, writing code, and conducting testing to ensure the quality of the application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall success of the project. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs. - Analyze user requirements and design software solutions. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. - Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality of the software. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues. Professional & Technical Skills: - Assist in the implementation and configuration of SAP FI modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting (BA). - Support senior consultants in gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications. - Participate in system testing, user training, and post-implementation support activities for SAP FI modules. - Provide user support and troubleshooting for issues related to FI processes and configurations. - Assist in documenting processes, procedures, and system configurations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration between SAP FI and other SAP modules (such as MM, SD, and CO). - Learn and apply best practices in SAP FI configuration and business processes. - Stay updated on SAP FI module enhancements, new features, and industry trends. - Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. - Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems is preferred but not required. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues. - Eagerness to learn and develop skills in SAP FI configuration and consulting. - Knowledge of SAP FI module functionalities or experience with SAP S/4HANA. - SAP certification in Financial Accounting (FI) is a plus. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
